Intriguing in its Complexity

Dial M for Murder is yet another entertaining film from Alfred Hitchcock. However, this film is unlike many of his other films in the fact that is not as suspenseful or thrilling as is clever. In this movie a man (Tony) hires someone to kill his wife. This seemingly simple and perfect murder becomes more complex with each passing minute. I thought it was a good solid movie and I really respected it for its cleverness. Although, this could hardly be considered as one of his best, it is worth a viewing. I would recommend this movie as a rental to any movie fan, especially to Alfred Hitchcock fans. |
