"I don't like cats, I like MEN and so do you" quips back an earthy Peg (Joan Blondell) in an example of a great exchange that gives this unconventional classic some of its enduring charm and shows the "fifties" were not just Ozzie and Harriet. Desk Set is for those that love the office wit of Dilbert and know that sexy isn't just below the neck and age twenty. And no, this isn't a "chick flick" like an Affair to Remember and its ilk, its a rolicing, funny classic that "real guys" can enjoy too. |
