A man's wife is murdered and his daughter is raped and ends up in a nuthouse. So he goes on a viligante killing spree, "cleaning up" the streets of NYC. This movie practically invented a whole new genre back in 1974 and propelled Charles Bronson into a superstar. Gritty and realistic, this is the ORIGINAL "The Brave One", which came out in 2007 and starred Jodie Foster. So if you liked that movie, then check out this one and its many inferior sequels. And yes, you will be rooting for Bronson all the way! |
