I find it humerous when people say things like the acting was horrible, or the situations were laughable. These people are missing the point that the movie is trying to make. And for people who say the effects looked fake, I think it's pretty decent for a crap budget in 1977. The point of this movie is to make you think how it would feel to actually have something like this happen, and imagine how you would feel in their shoes. I like movies that imply situations that you know could never happen but make you think what if. It's a nice break from reality sometimes to be able to sit back and watch Dawn and forget about what's going on in the real world. It's just a fun movie, and although Day of the Dead is much cleaner looking and the effects light years better as far as plot goes it doesn't measure up to Dawn. |
