I used to watch this movie as a kid and I still watch it today. The film may be a little cheesy at times, but we need to consider that it came out in 1987. Three great stories to entertain you for a good 92 minutes.
OLD CHIEF WOOD'NHEAD: A Dime store indian comes to life to seek revenge on the hoods who killed his owners. The first segment was highly satisfying, scary and creepy. The first guy gets arrows shot into him, the second guy gets axed in his garage (scariest kill of the segment), and the last guy gets his hair cut, but the cameras close before we see the indian do any further damage to this wannabe Hollywood star prick.
THE RAFT: Four teenagers go to a desolate lake, but somewhere in the water lurks an oil slick with an appetite. The only protection they have is a wooden raft that lies in the middle of the lake. In the end, the slick ends up killing all four teenagers. One thing that pissed me off was how when the first girl was getting killed, why didn't the two guys and the other girl hit the water and start swimming? Near the end, when the last guy made it to shore, why didn't he get in the car and leave instead of saying "I beat you"? The slick jumps out of the water and gets him. One more thing was when they show the "No Swimming" sign at the end after everybody has already been killed?
THE HITCHHIKER: A rich married woman is rushing home from an affair and hits a mysterious man in the street. He comes back to life to torment the woman through the night as she repeatedly shoots him and runs him over with her car. At the end, she thinks that she killed him for good, but as she gets out of her car, he pops up from under the car and kills her. Her husband arrives a while later and finds her in her car dead with a sign that says "Dover" on it, which is where the hitchhiker wanted to go. The Hitchhiker is nowhere to be found. This segment shows that when we hit a pedestrian in the street, ALWAYS stay and call for help, which is what this lady did not do. If she didn't commit a hit-and-run, he probably wouldn't have made her life a living hell. I guess that about wraps it up here. Holla back to Alphamale Resurrection. |
