another one of my fav eddie movies. maybe one of his best. here is plays a prince of a small african monarch. he is wanting a little bit of freedom. like choose who he can marry. he actually wants to marry for love. the time comes for him to meet his bride. arsenio hall is in this movie by the way. sorry for interruption. here she comes in all of her glory. beautifull beyond all reason and willing to serve his every whim. of coarse eddie wants her to think for herself. he pulls her aside during this huge ceremony. so he asks her several questions like what her favorite movie is or what her favorite food is? she replies with a slight bow and answeres whatever you like. anyways it has been a while and the king(james earl jones) comes in. they have a discussion and his father gives him time to sow is royal oats. eddie takes his time to find himself a bride. so him and his friend(arsenio) head to queens. go figure. so he finds the one woman. no one there thinks he is a prince. he works at macdowells mopping floors and taking out trash. the girls father owns the store. so begins his wooing of the woman. its funny and crazy and in true eddie murphy style. |
