Despite being outstandingly shot, with expensive sets and costumes and a wonderful cast who acted wonderfully, the story ruined the movie. If only it was a shorter version and wasnt dragged around at all edges to enlarge it, the movie would've been perfect. The scene where cleopatra comes to Rome is very beautiful with that lavish display of wealth and everything, but i think I timed it up to 20 minutes. The sheer length of the movie made my eyelids heavy and I had to be kept awake. |
