During any slashing/killing, they don't even show the person getting kill. Which mean this movie is low budget (cuz it cost to do those effect) or they think it will be too scary. In any sense it make the movie look cheap. The music suspense to bring the suspense and this movie fail, during those supposely horrific moment, i wasn't even amuse at all. Also, those kids were even trying to kill the main character, they just want to bring them in a place. The last thing really bad about this movie is the fight scene was totally unrealistic.
The storyline was okay, but could be a lot improve, they didn't explain why how all these happen and what transform those people to kill their parent (believing in god just to kill their parent just doesn't seem to make sense). I didn't read Stephen King book, but i would think it will be 100times better. Thought the only good thing about this movie is the 2 main kids who still didn't fall into the religion (which they also didn't explain why). I thought they were interesting and did a great job. The ending was pretty good too, though there was no scary scene either.
The story is unrealistic because there bound to be people worrying where did all the people of that small town went? shouldn't any relative or government agency worry about where all these people went. |
