I first saw the movie as a bonus feature on the dvd of the remake, The Truth About Charlie. Charade is one of those rare movies that I ended up liking the original more than the remake. The movie's strength lies in its ability to protect Cary Grant's character up until the very end. Audrey Hepburn and Grant's flirtatious moments together and their wit make the movie even more interesting. The elder Grant's acting is so convincing that it seems plausible for the younger Hepburn to fall for his charm. By the way, I also found a copy of this treasure in a Dollar Tree store. For a buck, own it! |
