Fred MacMurray gives a first-rate performance as the instigator but Bogie steals the show with one of the greatest performances in screen history. His breakdown on the stand where he goes from rational captain to quivering paranoid is nothing short of incredible.
Bogart is the best film actor of all time and is at his best in this film.
