One of my all time favorate movies. Story is a little confusing still even after watching it 50+ times or so, I still don't get the part exactly how Johnny Ross hooks up with Mr. Chaumers after he is being hunted in Chicago by the organization. I also though the gun shot to to Renick(who was pretending to be Ross) was not very realistic because he gets shot in the shoulder and then they go back to assasinate him in the Hospital???

These are irrevant though in the whole contex of the movie. Mcqueen was without a doubt one of the most gifed actors for nonverbal communication in the history of Hollywood. He doesn't have to say a word, yet this is no doubt he is conveying exactly what the character is thinking/feeling at that time.

Car Chase will never be duplicated simply for the fact that in today's setting the cost/risk associated with a stunt like that will never fly. That one is as real as you will ever see although there were (2) cars each for the scene because they thrashed (1) of each on the jumps, high speed turns etc..

The score by Lalo Schifin is one of the best as well.

Its a classic and deserves to be.
