This is easily the best baseball movie ever and right up there with the greatest sports movies of all time. This movie is about baseball and the coming of age of a couple of players, but even if you don't like baseball you can enjoy this movie. Tim Robbins is halarius in this movie and Kevin Costner plays a very very believable veteran catcher who is stuck in the minor leagues catching Robbins.
This movie has given us so many classic scenes like the meeting at the mound, the things that Costner believes in scene, and the shower scene where it is explained to us how simple the game of baseball is. Just watching Costner call Robbins "Meat" and tip of the opposing hitters what Robbins is going to throw next for a few hours is worth the movie in itself. |
