Simply Beautiful, Absolutely Delightful

Franco Zeffirelli chose the right man to score this film. Saint Francis of Assisi was a gentle man of simple means, and Donovan, the 60s icon of Flower Power, humble in his own beginnings, managed to compose the perfect soundtrack to this beautiful film. Set in ideal locations, BSSM depicts the life of St. Francis perfectly. Zeffirelli is a remarkable director!
You can download the latest versions of BROTHER SUN SISTER MOON, by Donovan from iTunes or go directly to his website http://www.donovan.ie and get them there. His newest release of these songs are accoustic and gently mellow. An official soundtrack was never released, (other than people lifting the songs off the movie and recording them), but many of the songs have been covered by various artists over the years! One of fullest soundtrack covers brought to my attention is by Buddy Comfort, found on iTunes. Very beautifuly done!
As to this movie, I cannot say anything bad about it, as it fits the life of St Francis to the letter, from the biographies I've read on him. this was done with alot of love from both the director and musical composer's perspectives.
