Anyone who would think this movie is not funny obviously has no appreciation for the spectaculary witty dialouge and hilariously subtle performance Miss Holliday gives in this film. THIS FILM IS NOT A DRAMA. (I personally think Will Ferrel's film Blades of Glory was ridiculously unfunny and yet, I still wouldn't call it a "drama" any more than this film is.) This film doesn't offer your 14-25 audience any bathroom humor, fart jokes, guys getting kicked in the groin, making fun of gay people or the handicapped or other such sophmoric nonsense so I can see how some people might think it's not a comedy. Time to grow up and see what a true adult comedy really is kids. The scene where Billie plays bridge with Brock alone is worth the price of admission. Anyone not able to appreciate the true genius of this classic film need to spend their time changing their own diapers instead of attempting movie reviews. |
