Kathleen Turner (yes! she was a hottie) and William Hurt sizzle in this film noir directed by Lawrence Kasdan. The plot is creative and suspenseful and upredictable until the last 10 minutes. Even then, you'll find yourself going back over scenes for clues.
Kasdan directs with a deft touch, and the cimematography is great...you'll feel like you are in the hot,steamy South.
As actors, this is the movie that put Hurt and Turner on the map. A timeless flick...
Another film noir...LA Confidential got an academy award for Kim Basinger, and Kathleen Turer is so much better in this movie.
You'll be surprised by the acting and the ending. |
