AS having read the novel after watching the movie,now i fully understood every twist and turn in the movie.The movie is that complex.This was the first raymond chandler novel that was converted into a movie after 6-7 yrs.
Humphery bogart is a private detective named phillip marlowe who is hired by a retired general to track down a person who is black mailing his younger daughter but things starts to go confusing as phillip founds the black mailer dead.
Lauren Bacall plays the older daugther of the general and what is amzing about this movie is that the chemistry between bogie and bacall.They were so great together on and off-screen.This movie keeps you at the edge of your seat through the whole movie.This is certainly one of bogie's best movies.Bogart's snappy dialogues and bacall's femenine charm makes this movie an unforgettable one. |
