One of the great American Classics!! A Western that is wonderful and will live in time, when this movie came out in 1971 I was but 9 years old, and we used to be able to watch it on Saturday afternoon, during the summer break from school. It was great. John Wayne was one of my hero's growing up and watching this movie even today I can see now why he was the hero if many of the people not just the small teens, and pre-teens that watched him growing up! Wayne was one of those actors that just took that roll on and became that character that he was playing. especially when he was playing opposite Maureen O'Hara Patrick, and his brother both played a good role even if Patrick brother had such small or short roll, he later worked on many of Wayne's pictures behind the scenes, but wow, it was a great and wonderful movie that can be watched over and over again. Great Movie! |
