I saw this movie last night on Turner Classic Movie and was amazed at how quickly it captured my undivided attention. The story can be easily transposed to almost any post war environment but it seems to work best in the post WW2 setting, when the country was still relatively innocent. I definitely recommend this movie to anyone interested in the effects a war can have on the personal lives of our soldiers. One word of warning, its almost 3 hours. |
