as a huge fan of Tim Burton, I highly enjoy this tale of 2 newly weds who drown in a river accident when there car sinks, they die and come back as ghosts, to the house where they lived, where a bunch of city folks have movied in and start destroying all they had.
they go on a quest to get them out at any cost , but when they releasise they can not do it on there own, get help from beetlejuice, the best of the best in the ghost world.
from there, he starts to go overboard and do stuff they did not want, and becomes a huge threat.
than they meet Lydia (played by Wynona Ryder), who is the only one who can see them, and soon befriends the gost duo, telling everyone about them, but at first they think it is just a joke, until they start having strange things happen to them (including evil sea food and giant snakes)
very funny dark comedy by Tim Burton, who always delivers in the ghoulish fun, with his brand of gothic influences and dark comedy.
Micheal Keaton as the title character is gold. |
