Beetlejuice is clear to see that its one weird movie, nothing simple or anything you have seen before. Directed by Tim Burton and main star, Michael Keaton bring us a strange tale about the struggle about life after death. The story is about a childless couple that die after their car falls into the town's river, only to find out there is life after death, soon there struggling to get the new people that moved in out of their house. All plans fail and then end up having to call up Beetle juice for help, he's no normal being and they soon learn of that as he starts his attacks to get them out the house. Now that description doesn't sounds anything to shout about but believe me you have to see the movie to enjoy the full effect this movie brings to you. The movie was brought to us in 1988 and has remained one of Tim Burton's ultimate creations, with other great movies like Edward Scissor Hands and Sleepy Hollow.

Shocking as you might think the acting in this is terrible, the actors don't even looks in with the movie, they all look out of place and don't really feel like theres anything to be scared about. This was all due to the fact that this movie is for a family audience, its not that scary and because there is alot of laughing and the movie is not serious, the characters obviously ain't going to be serious either. The one guy that stood out was Michael Keaton for his role playing Bettlejuice. He looks totally freaky and seems to always have energy but behind all that humor and dirty talk he does look like a crazy scary mad man, which rocked. He puts on a real great deep creaky voice, this is great and sounds excellent against the soft voices of "decent people" compared to him! All together the movie has standard/bad acting, this for some reason doesn't effect the movie for me in anyway, the un realness of the movie just shadows it out and still gives the movie the cheese it deserves.

Now the s.e in the movie is cool, theres alot of weird going ons with the funky heads of the happy couple to the very very scary Beetle juice snake that attacks the new family. The movie has alot of characters that are torn to pieces or cut in some way and for a old movie they show up well. They look really cool and although they probably made seriously theres a cartoon feeling the effects give you. All the dead bodies and gore looks cartoon and unreal, this is great as the movie would of *****ed up if they made it serious. Alot of bright colours and funky costumes made it a pleasure to watch and everyone always looks forward to the waiting room scenes, thats were the s.e and effects come in for serious fun. The whole movie is great looking, all the scenes are strange and gloomy. Watching this movie takes you into a strange world and its great to see this, the movie even takes you inside a model village of the town and thats not something you get to enjoy in every movie you watch. The camera angles and cinema in the movie is great, the camera has been used to create the funky world that the movie is based in and really pushes themovie up for one of the best movies Ive ever had the pleasure to see.

The soundtrack to the movie is great, very up beauty and crazy. The main theme rocks and is a classic and very popular, if you hear it anywhere at anytime every always knows its from the great movie Bettlejuice. The sound effects are good but you don't really notice anything much as everything else like music, the strange views and great effects end up drowning the effects out.

I cant find the words to say about this movie that will not do it the justice it deserves, this movie is completely excellent in every way possible. The whole movie completely crosses lines between realism and whats normal and with a story line like that theres no beating this movie! The actors and there rolls played suited them right down to the ground, with great use of sound and effects Tim Burton made this movie a masterpiece of all time.
