If you are ever in need of a feel good, pick me up, very funny and loving movie, then Arthur is definitely what you need. I can't say enough good things about this movie. I love it from start to finish. It is easily Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli's best movie either of them ever did. It's about a Millionaire playboy who has to marry a bore in order to inherit $750,000,000.00 but then meets the true love of his life in Liza. (And boy does Liza Minnelli look good in this movie). John Gielgud as Arthur's butler is beyond funny. He steals every scene he's in. I laugh so hard at this movie everytime i see it. Forget about Romantic comedies of today, watch Arthur and see how they should be done. |
