Comparing the 1970's movie with today's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is ludicrous ..They are 2 diifferent entities...Two different generations of viewers. I rarely go to movies...My Daughter had me watch Pirates of the Carribbean, and I was "hooked" on Johnny Depp. Since then, I have had the priviledge of watching several of his other films...He is quite an actor! Excellent in any role he plays. This most recent film, is another smashing success for Depp. It brought me out of the everyday world, and into a wonderful "chocolate adventure" with awesome visuals, great directing, and a "lose yourself" in the moment FUN film. I highly recommend it, and this is the first review I've ever written. Viewers who can't relax and enjoy a supurb performance on the part of the whole cast, should stay home. I chose to indulge, not only in in this FINE movie but in the wonderfulness of chocolate and Johnny Depp. |
