Quite possibly the writer Andrew Niccol had the name Truman chosen for obvious reasons.(similar to what he did in Simone-as in Simulation One)
The extraordinary and uncommon story of a man who "accepts his reality with which he is presented" is by far my all-time favorite movie.
I truly felt Truman's shock, relief, regret, and amazement when Jim Carrey touches the wall at the end of the movie, for he knows there's an honest world out there waiting for him to discover. |
