A sharp action/thriller.

While not a box office success back in 1997, The Peacemaker is a better movie now cause it is an action movie with intelligence, and well-rounded characters, wonderfully acted and directed. The story about a missing nuclear warhead gone missing was covered in the wretched "Broken Arrow" but this is a better film. Nicole Kidman and George Clooney have great chemistry and smart characters as well. The movie tends to falter in the last few minutes but it's a small price to pay for a good action/suspense film. |
