The classic con thriller;"The Grifters" is a suspenseful,stylishly and explorative look of these three main characters of selfish, selfcentered con-artists that gave them excectly no-confidence that they just need to depend from. Anjelica Hustoon gives the performance of her career as Lily, a manipulating vamp, John Cusack(Roy); a self-confident young conartist, whom is the son of overjealous Lily and Annette Benning(Myra); a fiesty veteran con-artist who is also Roy's sexy girlfriend. The scenes, the setting, the tense music of Elmer Bernstein and locale gives us a atmospheric sounding of the movie "Chinatown". It is entertaining for start to finish! |
