I have to admit, I thought this movie was kind of boring at first. But then, I decide to give it a 2nd chance for my class screening, then the extreme romantic affair between the 2 main characters in the film really touch me. I mean I wouldn't know how it feel to love like that because I've never been in love like count Almasy Delazlo and Katherine Clifton but I can appreciate the writers for their risks taking efforts. This film is very slow almost no actions at all. The Directions are very powerful as well as the visuals are stunning. The acting by Ralph Fiennes and Kristin Scott Thomas feel intense yet light toward the end in the Cave Scene. The story probably needs a little more touches of romance and fate. But overall, this film will not appeal to those who like actions, fast-paced films. (Be warned) Instead, the film challenges one's understanding about true love, time and lost. |
