I am not a fan of romantic period dramas, but when i watched The English Patient I was trully trully stunned.
The cinematography from the very beginning of the story automatically and skillfully draws you into the world this movie is set in.
The story is timeless and the North African landscape is breathtaking, and for the two or so hours this film goes on for, you are trully caught up in the drama.
I cant say anything more about this movie except that it is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It ranks up there with The Others, Matrix and Se7en. |
