The Coen brothers' "The Big Lebowski" is their best film since...well, since their previous one, "Fargo," which was the best film of 1996. It's not as good as the North Dakota thriller, but it's damn funny, totally entertaining, and compulsively watchable. Those three things alone would be good enough for a mild recommendation, but this film is more than just "fun to watch." It's very intriguing and showcases John Goodman's finest, funniest performance ever. I loved this film and everyone in it gives wonderful performances. Thumbs way up! |
