Brillaiant, hilarious, and wacky as hell are just a few things that I would use to describe this comic masterpiece. The Coen Bros are geniuses, and this is their true work of art (forget Fargo, as good as it is). Jeff Bridges is great, and I've never seen John Goodman funnier, and who can forget the polyester clad Jesus or the weird but oddly erotic Maude Lebowski? But perhaps the greatest thing about this movie is the continuing themes in all the Coen Brothers movies. The wacky dream sequences were amazing, and of course, the God figure, this time played by Sam Eliot in a brief (but brilliant) performance. |
