That Thing You Do quickly went from a curiosity to my favorite movie about music. The best thing about it is that Director Tom Hanks had his actors learn to play their instruments resulting in a necessary added level of reality that most films like this lack.Ever see how fake the playing looks in an Elvis movie??. None of that here. A really great effort by all involved. |
