A very worthy sequel

Even though this film isn't as good as the first one, it is still a very fun movie to watch. The acting is great, the visuals/ special effects look great (especially seeing as it was filmed in 1978-1979) and the direction by both directors Richard Donner and Richard Lester. Yes, both directors directed this movie, but Lester got credit for it. You see, the producers fired Richard Donner because of disputes during filming of both the first and second movie (both were filmed at the same time), and they brought in Lester to finish the second film. The only reason why I didn't give it an A is because it lacks the same amount of magic that the first film did. Yes, this film does have some magic, but compared to the first movie? I don't think so. Superman II is a great sequel to the first movie, and was the last very good Superman movie to be made. |
