You will believe that a man can fly, but you won't care. Less a movie than a marketing opportunity, Space Jam may keep kids and advertisers happy, but anyone past the age of 10 will be disappointed that this mix of live action and animation is less than the sum of its parts. As you might have guessed, not even space aliens can guard Michael Jordan, and nobody's ever been able to contain Bugs Bunny. But neither of these charming superstars can carry a picture--especially one that doesn't know which wall to bounce off next. I also recommend: Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Lilo & Stitch, Finding Nemo, Shrek, Toy Story 1 & 2. |
