I love this movie. It's one of my favorites. However, the main reason is it's one of the only movies about hold'em with actors people have heard of, and I love poker. However, looking at the movie closely, it really isn't a good poker movie. There are only a few hands shown in the entire game, and the final one is played embarrassingly by Teddy KGB.
**** SPOILER *****
When the flop comes as 6, 7, 10, and rainbowed, Teddy assumes Mike's on a draw when he calls. What kind of draw would he call $2000 and then $4400 on? A gut straight draw? Or maybe he rose preflop with a 5 8.

Even if he was correct in assuming Mike was on a draw, when the river fell and couldn't have helped him, why risk all your chips? If Mike did have an 8 high, Teddy could have pushed him out with a bet of $.01.

Teddy's tell should have been easy to recognize for a poker player as good as Mike. Eating a cookie is pretty obvious. Also, they should probably have explained how Mike ended up with 30,000 instead of 40,000 minus his expenses. Plus, the storyline behind the poker was also boring as hell.
