I wasn't very happy when they remade Psycho and said it was the same shot for shot. I must say how wrong I was it is actually a very good film maybe not as scary and for sure is not as good as the original but I must say it is still pretty good, and for sure worth watching.
The story is the same as the original and is of course pure genius. The screenplay is very similar to the original there are only a couple different parts and surprisingly don't ruin it. The acting is amazing. Vince Vaughn gives a performance so different from anything he has done before, and he gives a performance that shows that he actually does have an emense amount of talent. The others are also pretty good. The direction is good but not any where as good as Gus Van Saint has done before, and is not even a shadow of what Hitchcock did in the original. The visual effects are really good but could have been better.
A surprisingly good remake and worth watching even if its not great. |
