Great movie if you haven't read the book

First off this book is not for admirers of the novel Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. However I will say that the story line is very easy to follow and everything fits into place. the acting was great although the sex scene with Moriah Bertram and Henry Crawford never actually happened in the novel. I will say that this adaptation was much better than i believe the 2007 version which was much too short to do the novel justice. If you're looking for a movie that sticks directly to the novel you should watch i believe the 80's version of the film which is more than 4hour long and VERY dry. |
