Lethal Weapon is the start to one of the best franchises. Danny Glover and Mel Gibson play two L.A.P.D cops Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs, two memorable characters who will go through anything even if either of them are crazy or old. The movie starts off with Murtaugh turning 50 and assigned to a case where one of his oldest friend's daughter dies. Then it jumps to Riggs working on a case involving heroin but ends at a tree lot with violent results. Riggs is transferred to another precinct because of his suicidal history. But when Murtaugh says the word GUN! it starts up one of the best buddy-cop pairings. They are made partners and assign to a case where heroin is being sold by a former general. Then the audience meets Mr. Joshua played by Gary Busey. One of the coldest and slickest bad guys ever also the general's right hand man. The movie does not disappoint on action or comedy. Especially when you watch the battle between Joshua and Riggs. After Murtaugh says the line, I'm too old for this sh**. It starts up a bunch of unstoppable sequels |
