"L.A. Confidential" is a great film, an astonishing achievement from director Curtis Hanson. Every twist and every turn is as genuinely surprising as anything I've ever seen, and nothing in the film makes you feel like you've been cheated. It's a great, great film. Thumbs way, way up! One of 1997's top 5 films!
