I've heard it before -
"Yeah, dude, Pulp Fiction is totally baadassss, and I even saw Resevoir Dogs, once. But Jackie Brown was totally lame. Tarantino was just trying to cash in on Pulp Fiction again."
Shut yo' mouth, fool, and listen up. Go see your guy, buy yourself a half ounce of some stony ganj, and warm up with some sweet soulful funk. Try the Godfather's "The Payback", or Ike & Tina's "The Hunter", or maybe Blues Explosion's "Acme". When you're good and ready, roll yourself a big ol' blunt and smoke till you can't walk. Then turn on Jackie Brown, and turn her up! 'Cause baby, this beautiful movie is one of the 10 greatest films of all time. She'll get you lifted. She'll move you and go down smooooth, like Courvoisier Cognac, like Al Green. You take my advice, and you won't be dissatisfied. |
