A classic American film of the 70's! In the midst of the pain and cynicism built up over Vietnam, this film came along and made your heart soar, your hope surge and your fears subside. In its uniquely quirky, brilliant way, Harold & Maude still brings hope and joy in the midst of fear and doubt. There couldn't have been this film without Ruth Gordon and Bud Cort and perhaps Cat Stevens. I thank them all, and director Hal Ashby for a treasure to enjoy for generations. The lessons will never diminish. |
