in defense of a great 80s movie!! Anyone who did not grow up in the 80s just will not get it - don't try, you are all used to CGI and pretty faces in lieu of actual talent. Kevin Bacon is divine. the choreography iconic - the music symbolises a generation. Based loosely as it is on fact from one of the script-writer's life, it is a grand tale of rebellion, luuuurve and winning your fight - 80s style. Right up there with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video.
