I must say that after seeing this movie over and over, you can never get sick of it.
Drew Barrymore(50 First Dates)plays young and beautiful Danielle D'barbarack, an 18 year old girl who falls in love with youn Prince Henry (Dougray Scott)who is forced to find himself a bride.
Danielle's life starts off when her father brings back a bride when she is seven, her fathers bride is Baroness Rodmila D'gent (Anjelica Huston) and her two daughters Maurguite, and Jacline. The next day her father dies from heart attack and we speed up to 10 years later.
Danielle is now 18, and she is a slave in her own house, one day she runs into the prince, who gives her money and the next day she goes to pay off the debt of a servant, where again she runs into Prince Henry again, quickly he is taken by her logic and beauty. Danielle leaves Henry, giving him her mothers name, Comtesse Nicole De' Lancray.
Only 1 day later, she runs again into the Prince while swimming, only to attach themselves again, but leaves without anything this time.
After another day passes, Nicole, or danielle, is taken to a Library, where they share a moment yet again, only later to kiss.
This continues until the night of a big ball, where Danielle tells Prince Henry the truth, like always, he rejects her, and she leaves her semi-glass slipper on the ground.
Another day passes, and Danielle is sold to a wicked man, 4 days pass and it's the day of Henrys wedding, the woman cries for 15 minutes of it until he stops the wedding, and runs to rescue Danielle, they get married and live happily ever after. |
