i saw this movie on tv the other night, and i hadnt seen this movie before so i thought id check it out. the visual effects were amazing, and morgan freeman and robert duvall, as well as tea leoni, led a superb cast that truely showed the profound emotion that would be felt if such a disaster were to occur. however, i found the story too unrealistic, in saying that a comet that close to earth could be kept secret, and that a spacecraft like the Messiah could be built so quickly. and i also felt that there was too long a wait for the moment we all wanted to see, which was too brief as well. all in all, its better than the day after tomorrow or the core, and makes for a good rental. |
