Dark City is one of my favourite pictures of all time. The movie is amazing with its original story, mystery, imagery, true poignance and it certainly wouldn't be the same without the beautiful score that fits the movie perfectly. The "shell beach" song is beautiful, sad and misterious at the same time, and it evolves along with the picture and characters.
This movie also opened the doors to movies like the Matrix...
It's a joy to watch and hear and to discover more and more new things each time you watch it. Everyone serious about cinema has to see it. It's a movie to be felt, but you must get involved in the story, and follow it carefully, to fully appreciate it. |
