Forget "best movie ever made", that's too broad of a topic. This has to be the greatest character study of all-time. Never before have I understood a movie character so well as Charles Foster Kane. And we only see his life through the eyes of his friends and enemies. It's impossible to totally encompass what this movie is all about, but it is basically just about one man's emptiness and lonliness of which he tried to fill with his career and money. Not everyone may find this movie to be the greatest of all-time, quite possibly because no such movie exists, but it is one of the most remarkable achievements ever wrought onto the screen and if you can't see that then maybe you should stick to "2 Fast 2 Furious". |
