Roman Polanski, who has a funny cameo appearance as a nose-slicing thug, has fashioned a masterpiece with "Chinatown," a wonderfully entertaining and involving film noir. It should've won best picture...but then again, it's a little late to be complaining. It's compulsively watchable and wonderfully constructed. One of Polanski's finest films. |
