With the excellent performance by Hillary Swank, this was a realistic account of the last days of the life of Teena Brandon. It was fairly accurate, but a couple of events that actually occurred were left out (for example, a third person was murdered at the night Teena died, an old African-American man who Teena had befriended).
People don't understand transsexuals - Teena wasn't a dyke, she was a woman in a man's body, and wanted to be seen as such. |
