Based on the book by Jim Lovell and Jeffery Kluger highlighting the situations occurred with the April 1970 third planned lunar landing mission. Richly directed by Ron Howard with a high performing cast which includes Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Kevin Bacon, Gary Sinise and Ed Harris [Screen Actors Guild Award for his Supporting Role]. The cast and crew would endowed rigorous training in development of there characters, winning the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast. Academy Awards for Best Editing and Sound only summarizes the accomplishment of this courageous tale. Director Ron Howard had earlier worked with Tom Hanks in the movie Splash [1984]. |
