It's just so magnificent and beautiful...

Though this story does not reflect the true Anna, I find it very enjoyable nonetheless. Even fictonalized stories can be good sometimes, and this movie does not deserve to be banned in Thailand. It certainly shows very beautiful scenes of Thailand, and the music to accompany it is outstading. And we ca't ever forget the execution, where the moving piano score "The Execution" makes you cry. Despite what others say, I think Jodie plays a fair Anna.
And nonetheless, the movie does show some history. Anna really did go to Thailand to teach King Mongkut's children. In doing so, she influenced Prince Chulalongkorn to bring about a new Siam.
This movie rarely gets boring. It keeps you hooked most of the time. It's a real must-see for everyone. |
