Sara Crewe was a rich,english girl who lives in India in the 1910s.Her father had to fight in World War One,sp he sent Sara to Miss Minchin's Select Seminitary for girls at New York.Miss Minchin showed Sara her room,the biggest room of all.Her father gave her a doll,named Emily.Soon,Sara sat next to the window,seeing her father leave.Also,Sara's mother,who died was in this place too,and Sara had a special locket that reminded her.Sara made some new friends,like Lottie and Ermengarde.Everyone liked Sara,because she was a creative storyteller,except Lavinia.Lavinia used to be the most clean,and nice person,and now since Sara's here,she's not.All the girls went to Sara's room,to here her stories.The girls with Lavinia can't stand brushing her hair,so they all ran to Sara's room,leaving Lavina's eyes wide open.Becky,the scullery maid needed new shoes,and Sara saw herShe gave her new shoes,and Becky was real happy.Lottie had lots of problems,like screaming so loud,that Amelia,Miss Minchin's sister can't stop her.Sara stopped her,and made Lottie happy.Sooner or not,it's Sara's birthday!All the girls played with her.When cutting the cake,she said "Every girls are princesses,even two-headed snots like Lavinia."Still,Sara gave Lavinia the biggest piece of cake.But then,Mr.Crewe's soliciter,Mr.Barrows came."Oh,this month's check is quite large." said Miss Minchin"There will be no check."said Mr.Barrows."What?"Later,Miss Minchin said "Party's over!" Soon,Sara sat with Miss Minchin."Your father,your father." Sara shook her head."Your father has died of war.The people closed ALL his accounts,leaving you penniless.You are alone in this world!"And Miss Minchin popped the ballon Sara was staring at."Unless I decide to keep you here,out of charity."Sara dressed in black,but she held Emily.She became a servant.She worked and worked,and at the end,she figured out her father was alive and changed the name of the Seminitary's name in to Randolphs.Sara took Becky home too,back in India.Mention that Miss Minchin became a servant,and Amelia went to marry Francis.I loved this movie.It's on of the best I'd ever seen.You have to watch it!It is the BEST! |
