Disturbing but fascinating to watch

This is defintely not a main stream hollywood movie. More an arthouse type of movie.
Im involved in the arts and acting and so loved this movie really. It was shot on a very small budget hence the long scenes and single location. It did make back its money quiet well at the box office so its not pretending to be anything its not. The actors are in the most comfortabe environment to perform at their best. Brilliant performances all round.
The movie does take you to some disturbing places where you dont want to go, but are dragged there nevertheless. Ive been in that situation and know exactly what its like, but this movie really glamourises the freedom of sexual exploration yet then condemns it in an almost existentialist anniahlation. What were left with is no moral dilema.
I'm all for being with one partner myself but sometimes a free creative mind can lead you into areas where you just shouldnt and dont want to go to. |
